Le Golf TrotteurMy driver isn’t keen on stickers, but I am! I’m a huge fan of stickers. I have to say that after 35 years of teaching, including quite a few years in nursery school, stickers have become part of my daily life.
In nursery school, we use stickers for everything: to learn to count to create logical sequences to identify objects to create paths that help the hand learn to write, Some of you have no doubt been keen users of Post-it notes at work or at home.

1er juin, par PierreMon driver n’aime pas les gommettes, mais moi si ! Je suis un inconditionnel des gommettes. Il faut dire qu’après 35 ans d’enseignement dont pas mal d’années en maternelle, les gommettes ont fini par faire partie de mon quotidien.
En école maternelle, on utilise les gommettes pour tout : pour apprendre à compter pour créer des suites logiques pour repérer des objets pour créer des chemins qui vont permettre à la main de s’initier à l’écriture, Certains d’entre vous ont été certainement (…) -

1ro de junio, por PierreEn una de mis últimas entradas breves, hablaba del arbitraje y de la particularidad del golf de ser un deporte autoarbitrado.
En una partida de Stableford o de scramble por parejas, este autoarbitraje se ve moderado y verificado por los demás jugadores o equipos que participan en la misma partida. Intercambiamos las tarjetas y comprobamos la puntuación al final.

1 June, by PierreIn one of my recent posts, I talked about umpiring and the unique aspect of golf being a self-refereed sport.
In a Stableford or two-ball scramble match, this self-refereeing is checked and verified by the other players or teams in the same group. We swap scorecards and check the scores at the end.
Last week, I took part in a four-ball scramble competition. In over 20 years of playing golf, I believe this is only the third time I’ve played in a four-ball scramble.

31 mai, par PierreDans une de mes dernières brèves, je parlais de l’arbitrage et de la particularité du golf d’être auto arbitré.
Dans une partie en stableford ou en scramble à 2, cet auto arbitrage est tempéré et vérifié par les autres joueurs ou équipes qui sont dans la même partie. On échange les cartes et on vérifie la marque à la fin.
La semaine dernière, j’ai participé à une compétition en scramble à 4. En plus de 20 ans de golf, ce n’est que la troisième fois je crois que je joue en scramble à 4. (…) -

Cuando empecé a jugar al golf hace más de 20 años, tuve la suerte de hacerlo en un grupo muy agradable, realizando un curso de tarjeta verde. Hay que decir que, en aquella época, en el Golf de Seyssins, para tener derecho a salir al campo, la tarjeta verde era un paso obligatorio. Por (…) -

Lorsque j’ai démarré le golf il y a plus de 20 ans, j’ai eu la chance de le faire dans un groupe très sympa en effectuant un stage carte verte. Il faut dire qu’à cette époque au Golf de Seyssins pour avoir le droit d’aller sur le parcours, la carte verte était (…) -

Although the French struggle somewhat to reach the very top of the world rankings in golf—at least the very top spots—French athletes excel in many other individual and team sports.

Breve del recorrido: haro sobre el árbitro
13 de mayo, por PierreMe gusta mucho esta expresión, que literalmente significa «levantarse con indignación contra alguien o algo, señalándolo al reprobación general».
Aunque a los franceses les cuesta un poco alcanzar el más alto nivel mundial en el golf, al menos los primeros puestos, los deportistas franceses destacan en muchos otros deportes, tanto individuales como colectivos.
En cuanto a los aficionados, los franceses ocupan los primeros puestos mundiales en cuanto a mala fe cuando pierden sus ídolos, (…)
