I’m still discovering the golf courses around the town of Hua Hin in Thailand. I saw in a tourist guide that there were 12, but so far I’ve ’ONLY’ discovered 10, which already seems to be quite a record for a town of 70,000 inhabitants.
So yesterday, I had my first run at Majestic Creek.
It’s an 18-hole par 72 that’s in good condition, even if it’s not the most beautiful.

The course is undulating with wide fairways, but greens that are a little tricky. None of the greens are flat and the slopes are not very easy to read. Luckily the youngest was there.

This is a relatively tiring golf course on foot. Which perhaps explains why almost all the players were in buggies (it doesn’t fit in with my conception of Golf, but that’s another issue).

The facilities are nice, although the clubhouse doesn’t have the standing of some of the other clubs around town.
On the other hand, I found the golf course much livelier, with many more players both on the course and in the restaurant.
On the other hand, for residents, this golf course offers a two-year membership that is most attractive financially.

Finally, this golf course does have one drawback for residents if you want to go and play there every day, which is that you absolutely must have a vehicle because you can’t find a taxi on site with the traditional Uber-type apps (which are called Grab or Bolt here) unlike golf courses closer to the city, such as Sea Pines or Palm Hills.
