Even before starting, this road trip requires a significant budget :

– Purchase of boxes, shelves to store what I keep : about €200

– Rental of the box for storage €58/month / one year : €696

– Vaccines and medical expenses partially reimbursed. Remaining chargeable : €75

– Passport : €86

– Transition to "expatriate security" (CFE + MGEN) / one year : €237

Less the $117 that I currently pay to MGEN : €120

– Backpack 70 liters Decathlon : 155€

– Rigid suitcase : €159

– Shoes : €50

– Barcelona->Bangkok ticket : €568

We can therefore estimate the preliminary budget at about €1500

The plane ticket : €568

So I spent about €2000 before leaving, i.e. a month’s retirement. Life on site will therefore have to be more economical.

But it should be noted that most of these expenses will not be renewed for other destinations.
