Phetchaburi or Phetburi is a city in the Central Thailand region, capital of the province of Phetchaburi. Its name means city of diamonds (buri is the Sanskrit word for "city").

It is only one hour north of Hua Hin and we went there on the occasion of the Phra Nakhon Khiri Festival, an annual event that begins with a monumental parade on the first evening and follows with 10 days of festivals, exhibitions, workshops...

We arrived just before the parade, it was really spectacular.

The parade lasted more than 2 hours, with the participation of all social groups, companies, schools in the sector. Then the party continued late at night, with relatively little music, which is amazing in Thailand, but dozens of food stalls, and 2 fireworks an hour apart.

The parade was only the first night, but the party lasts ten days with workshops, stands and of course fireworks every night.
