No golf in Vietnam

How? No golf in Vietnam?

And yet there are 45 magnificent golf courses listed in Vietnam and probably a dozen others under construction, but I did not play. How is this possible?

Simply because the price of golf is prohibitive, which annoys me a lot in a country where there are few watering problems and where labour costs are very low. Seeing the prices, I took a big slap. I expected much softer rates that would allow me to play several times during my stay. As a result, I did like Michel Jonasz in his song "les golfs, je n’ai j’ai pass pass".

Definitely here as almost everywhere in the world, the owners of golf courses undoubtedly with the blessing of the federations do everything to make this sport an elite sport reserved for a well-to-worth clientele. We are very far from the democratisation of golf in Vietnam.

It is impossible to find a golf course where you pay less than €100 simply for the greenfee not to mention the exorbitant price of bag rentals which easily amounts to €50. So no golf in Vietnam, to my great regret because all those I had the opportunity to see seem really superb. But when you travel with a small budget you have to make choices...
